Were you a good Facebook boy or girl this year? Were your status updates naughty? Were your comments nice? As part of Honda's holiday campaign, we created an app that could find out. NaughtyOrNice-a-tron: the social media behavior evaluator.

Using an algorithm we developed to analyze language sentiment, the app scanned a user's entire year of status posts and comments. As it discovered naughty or nice items it displayed them back to the user for a fun trip down social-networking memory lane. It even factored in behaviors like invitation acceptances and "likes". The app then compiled a final judgment on whether their cyber-self deserved lavish gifts (like a new Honda) or a lump of coal this holiday season. Users could then explore their scores, post the results to their Facebook wall, see how their friends rated and invite others to try.
